AR Museum Guide Tour
UX
UI
Overview
An app for those who love to engage with museum exhibits in a more dynamic way.
Users can use the app to explore the museum and discover new tours. The app's AR scanner provides exhibit and attraction information without needing a tour guide.
The final outcome was an app that allows you to take different tours through the museum using the technology of AR.
The user can obtain basic information about any exhibit or attraction by simply pointing their smartphone camera at it and using the AR scanner.
Empathy maps
To conduct interviews, I contacted friends, classmates, and other contacts who have visited the British Museum within the last two years and have expressed interest in museums. The goal at this stage was to meet them and hear about their experiences personally. The only requirement was that they had visited the museum in the past at least once.
User
Journey
Approach
I created a research plan where I identified the target users and gained a thorough understanding of their goals and expectations for utilising the app.
To understand how was the engage with the signs and displays I decided to spend an evening in the museum and do a Behavioural observation.
After gathering data, I analysed the key points and considered the user journey. Then, I defined the problem, proposed design solutions, received feedback, and refined the final design.
